ADP-ribosylation factor-binding protein GGA1; Plays a role in protein sorting and trafficking between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. Mediates the ARF-dependent recruitment of clathrin to the TGN and binds ubiquitinated proteins and membrane cargo molecules with a cytosolic acidic cluster-dileucine (DXXLL) motif . Mediates export of the GPCR receptor ADRA2B to the cell surface . Required for targeting PKD1:PKD2 complex from the trans-Golgi network to the cilium membrane (By similarity). Regulates retrograde transport of proteins such as phosphorylated form of BACE1 from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network . ECO:0000269|PubMed:15615712, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15886016,

Each tissue–gene association is based on a text-mining score, which is proportional to 1) the absolute number of comentionings and 2) the ratio of observed to expected comentionings (i.e. the enrichment). These scores are normalized to z-scores by comparing them to a random background. This is represented by stars, each star corresponding to two standard deviations above the mean of the background distribution.
